
Creamy Garlic Shrimp Pasta
A quick and easy creamy pasta with garlic and mushrooms.
Equipment
- 1 Fry Pan (cast iron, large)
- 1 Pot (large)
- 1 Bowl (medium)
Ingredients
- 225 g Spaghetti (gluten-free)
- 2 tbs Olive Oil
- 1 lb Shrimp (no tails or shells)
- 3 cloves Garlic (chopped)
- ¼ tsp Basil
- ¼ tsp Paprika
- ¼ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Chili Pepper Flakes
- 8 oz Mushrooms
- 1 cup Half and Half Cream
- ½ cup Parmesan Cheese
- ½ cup Shredded Cheese
Instructions
Pasta
- Cook the Spaghetti in boiling water for about 10 minutes, as per the packaing
Main Meal
- Add the Olive Oil to the large fry pan, and heat for 2 minutes
- Add the Garlic and Shrimp, and cook for 1-2 minutes on medium-high heat, until the shrimp is pink
- Flip the Shrimp, and sprinkle the Basil, Chili Flakes and Paprika and Salt over the Shrimp, and cook for another 2-3 minutes
- Remove the Shrimp from the Fry Pan, into a bowl
- Add the Mushrooms into the Fry Pan, and if needed, add a bit more Olive Oil, and cook for 2-3 minutes on medium-high heat (sprinkle some extra salt in about half way through)
- Add the Shrimp and the Half and Half Cream to the Fry Pan, and bring to a boil
- Add in about half of the Cheeses and reduce to a simmer, stirring until all the cheese is melted
- Add in the remaining Cheeses, mixing until the cheese is melted
- Simmer until the sauce thickens a little (about 3-4 minutes)
- Mix in the cooked pasta, stirring well
- Serve and enjoy!
