
Paneer Butter Masala
Decided to try my hand at making a bit of Indian food, and this was a great first choice. A very simple recipe, yet so deliciously good and filling
Equipment
- 1 Food Chopper (to puree the tomatoes)
- 1 Fry Pan (large)
Ingredients
- 400 g Paneer (cut into cubes)
- 2 Onion (chopped)
- 3 tbsp Garlic Paste
- 3 tbsp Ginger Paste
- 1 can Diced Green Chili (~127ml)
- 8 Tomatoes (pureed)
- 4 tbsp Tomato Puree
- 2 tsp Chili Powder
- 2 tbsp Cumin
- 2 tbsp Coriander
- 1 cup Cream
- 2 tsp Garam Masala
- 2 tsp Dry Fenugreek Leaves
- 4 tbsp Butter
- 2 tsp Canola Oil
- 1 tsp Salt
Instructions
- Heat in Canola Oil in the Large Pan
- Add in the Butter, and allow it to melt
- Saute the Onions until they are translucent
- Mix in the Diced Green Chilies
- Mix in the Garlic Paste and Ginger Paste and saute for about 1 min
- Add in the Pureed Tomatoes and Tomato puree and saute for about 5 min
- Mix in the Salt, Chili Powder, Cumin, Coriander, and allow to simmer for about 5 min, stirring as needed
- Mix in the cream
- Add the Panner cubes, mixing until they are well covered
- Mix in the Dry Fenugreek Leaves and Garam Masala
- Cover and simmer for about 5 minutes
