
Sugar Pie
Nothing says Christmas like Sugar Pie. This Plante family staple is enjoyed over the holidays, but can also be enjoyed at any other time of the year.Don’t forget the ice cream to help cut the sweetness!
Equipment
- 1 Sauce Pan (large)
Ingredients
- 6 tbsp Flour
- 2 cup Brown Sugar (packed)
- 1 can Evaporated Milk (~354ml)
- 4 tbsp Butter
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 Pie Shell (frozen)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400℉
- In the Sauce Pan, combine the Flour and Brown Sugar
- Mix in the Evaporated Milk, Butter, Salt and Vanilla
- Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring consistently, for 2-3 minutes
- Pour the mixture into the Pie Shell
- Bake at 400℉ for 5 minutes
- Reduce heat to 350℉ and bake for another 25minutes, without removing the pie from the oven
