Creamy Garlic Shrimp Pasta

Equipment

  • 1 Fry Pan (cast iron, large)
  • 1 Pot (large)
  • 1 Bowl (medium)

Ingredients
  

  • 225 g Spaghetti (gluten-free)
  • 2 tbs Olive Oil
  • 1 lb Shrimp (no tails or shells)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (chopped)
  • ¼ tsp Basil
  • ¼ tsp Paprika
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Chili Pepper Flakes
  • 8 oz Mushrooms
  • 1 cup Half and Half Cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan Cheese
  • ½ cup Shredded Cheese

Instructions
 

Pasta

  • Cook the Spaghetti in boiling water for about 10 minutes, as per the packaing

Main Meal

  • Add the Olive Oil to the large fry pan, and heat for 2 minutes
  • Add the Garlic and Shrimp, and cook for 1-2 minutes on medium-high heat, until the shrimp is pink
  • Flip the Shrimp, and sprinkle the Basil, Chili Flakes and Paprika and Salt over the Shrimp, and cook for another 2-3 minutes
  • Remove the Shrimp from the Fry Pan, into a bowl
  • Add the Mushrooms into the Fry Pan, and if needed, add a bit more Olive Oil, and cook for 2-3 minutes on medium-high heat (sprinkle some extra salt in about half way through)
  • Add the Shrimp and the Half and Half Cream to the Fry Pan, and bring to a boil
  • Add in about half of the Cheeses and reduce to a simmer, stirring until all the cheese is melted
  • Add in the remaining Cheeses, mixing until the cheese is melted
  • Simmer until the sauce thickens a little (about 3-4 minutes)
  • Mix in the cooked pasta, stirring well
  • Serve and enjoy!
