This recipes makes the best butter tarts. Runny, with raisins.

Equipment

  • 1 Muffin Tin
  • 1 Bowl (large)

Ingredients
  

  • 12 Premade Tart Shells (frozen)
  • ½ cup Brown Sugar (lightly packed)
  • ½ cup Corn Syrup
  • ¼ cup Butter (melted)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ½ cup Raisins

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 425℉
  • Place the Tart Shells in the Muffin tin
  • In the Bowl, combine the Brown Sugar, Corn Syrup, Butter, Egg, Vanilla and Salt
  • Sprinkle a few raisins on the bottom of each Tart Shell
  • Fill the Tart Shells until ⅔ full with the mixture
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes at 425℉

Notes

If you prefer more firm Butter Tarts, use:
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3/4 cup of Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup of Corn Syrup
